Things Too Wonderful | Psalm 131:1b

It would be easy to turn this verse into permission to stop thinking hard, or to hand back responsibilities that were given to us. That isn't what David is doing. He's speaking to the Lord, and this is humility before God, not a way out of work. The verse is about what he refused to pick up that was never his, and about his willingness to leave some things with the Lord.

If you lead a team, you know what's yours. Choosing songs, preparing people, showing up ready, staying kind when the morning goes sideways. You can do all of that well and still not know what the Lord is going to do with it, and that's how it's meant to be. What the Lord does in the room on Sunday is too wonderful for you, and it was never on your list.
